In 2001, this amusing event actually happened. A security company (Argus) organized a contest which was won by a Polish hacking group that goes by the name free casino games of Last Stage of Delirium (LSD). By hacking into a server shielded by Argus' software, they won the Cash Bonus list prize money of $48,000. In theory. In the rules, the prize should have been given to the group not later than May 15, 2001 but up to late secret Garden slot 2002, Argus was still delinquent.
The Argus (former) CEO who ran the contest, had already left the firm. casino slot Jackpots The new CEO was at his wits' end trying to come up with a solution. The new CEO pledged a complete inquiry into the matter, as the former CEO could not be slot play contacted. LSD members said that after tons of e-mails and 18 months of painful waiting, they got $1,250 each. That first installment was followed by online slot a repertoire of proposed payment schemes but none was fulfilled by the company.
The new CEO declared that the scenario was casino games complicated, because of the old CEO's inaccessibility and by another factor. The company that held the contest was actually a firm from the U.K composed of European businessmen, not Argus itself. The old CEO free slots and bonuses was part of that UK firm to a certain point. Argus had bought

Sometime last month, I had to get back a book I lent to a friend, let me just call him "Mr BookRobber". No, he would not mind, he has robbed people of far more precious things, haha HA.
Anyway, since he was not inclined to return my book, I was forced to go to his house, two states away, yes, it was an important book. God only knows why I even lent it out in the first place. When I was there, I found him "in conference" with 3 other guys, all strangers to me. Well, he may be a "robber" but he still had his manners, he introduced me all around. (One was a stage actor, somebody I recognized, I saw him act 15 years ago. No kidding, my memory recall when it comes to faces is worthy of MENSA).
I asked them what in heaven's name they were doing, and they said they were studying the game plans for their "attack" on the Gold Rally Progressive jackpot.
Now, that game is not one of my favorites, but I sure know what it is.

It is called "Who Wants to be a Stallionaire", giving us the playing public a very sophisticated and interactive gaming ambience which has a not-so-easy skill factor, and this what British gamblers want at this online age.
It is a good addition to the new series of Microgaming which features the ever-constant 3-reel fruit machines. This game could be enjoyed by those with any kind of bankroll, from the pauper to the whales...ehr...when I say pauper, it's more figurative than literal. Let us talk about the jackpot of this game, 20 thousand credits which could be had by successfully conquering the bonus level. This comes up when the player hits three randomly situated horseshoes. (Naturally, this is not going to be an everyday occurrence).
The game makes it possible for somebody to get up to two thousand times the wager. For one to accomplish this, one has to move around 24 squares, and every one of these squares holds its own trait. Final aim is to bust the bookie, and this would dictate the kind of sum one would get in the way of jackpots. So horse race buffs, want to go for this one?

We take it from the name, as the label connotes, the progressive stand-alone games are not connected to the rest of the "slots kingdom". This kind of slot holds no fixed sum of rewards. Percentage of the coins get augmented to the prize sum of that particular unit. Stand-alone units have a meter showing the gamblers the jackpot's amount and ordinarily, payback is equal to the other slots requiring the same kind of bills/coins. It goes without saying, if you are presented with half a dozen stand alone machines, then get the one with biggest offering.
Total sum of the jackpot is smaller compared to the now-more-popular slots that are under the Network. Well, whatever your passion is, stand-alone or not, you might want to know these things.
A popular progressive is : Wheel of Fortune, this game permits gamblers to use a wide array of denominations. One could use dollars, quarters and the 5-dollar units. For the dollar gamblers, jackpot usually begins at one million, then goes up from that sum. Last word, a small tip: when slots playing, wear your watch. Forgetting the time is almost a sure thing of losing cash.

Since I am definitely not inclined to name the online casino, let me hide it under the name "Elf-land Casino". Just a few months ago at Elf-land Casino.com, a Swiss gambler won the jackpot at the site's Space Age video slots. This lucky individual clinched $101,999.84, and how much did he bet? Nine dollars my friends, just that. According to Santos (that is the real name), one of the managers of the site, it was a good thing, for not only do the patrons get cash rewards, but the wins are big ones.
With top-notch sound and graphics, this kind of slots game features planets, stars and galaxies. Thus, if you are a Star Trek fan, you'll be very "at home" with this game. Elf-land Casino offers Instant jackpots and progressives via a wide array of slot machine games, let me just mention some: Jurassic Cash, Cactus Jack, Faerie Tale, World Tour. (No offense to this site but...) They claim that they are the only Net casino that proffers the 500-hand video poker, with the kind of competition nowadays, I seriously doubt it. However, I am sure they are one of the very few that gives this kind of game.
So, what else can I say: whatever your online room may be, don't give up on the slots. Who knows...you may be the next Rich Guy (or Gal)...even if it's not Space Age.

Let me talk about Wall Street Fever first, it is a five-reel, 5-payline Net progressive slots playable with 10 cents denominations. Highest wager is 50 cents, and the game offers a bonus level which could be attained by 3 zigzags. Just like other modern slots, the game gives the player the chances to win five, fifteen or even fifty free spins...how would you like that? A tip for all of you slots lovers (online slots that is): bet the max number, and you know exactly why.
Then, there is the Mega Jacks, it is a progressive video poker game (Jacks or better). Fixed coin size is 25c and the paytable holds a six to nine ratio profile. This game permits gamblers to exceed the one hundred percent payback, notwithstanding the fact that the jackpot sum begins at a smaller figure. Again, akin to many progressives, it is ideal to wager on the highest allowable coin amounts. For this particular game, 1.25$ is the key. That would be it, oh...lastly, PRAY for that Royal combination.
(Personally, I like Wall Street over the latter...but of course...this is a matter of personal taste more than anything else.)

This game, an offering from the very-busy Microgaming, is a classic kind. Theme of the game is the Fourth of July, thus, the gambler would be visually flooded with the blue, white and red 7s and of course, the cherries and the bars. If a cherry appears anywhere, it would give the player twice his/her wager. If one gets 3 sevens (red) on the 3rd coin, he would be getting 2,500 coins...good enough for you?
Let me dwell on the particulars: 3 reels, 1 payline, coins would range from a quarter to five dollars. There is no wild in this game, and there is no scatter logo either. Before you say "What? No scatter, no wild...what good is this game?"- hear me out first. It may have no extra logos, but it is not exactly akin to the straight classic games that we are used to seeing. The higher number of coins one uses, the bigger the money rewards become...thus doing the top bet is a must, in a matter of speaking.
Different kinds of bankrolls (so, if you are a "low-roller", no need to worry) would be served by this game, as it offers an adequate array of coin sizes.

Interesting name for a slot game, it reminds me of that Catherine-Zeta Jones movie with Sean Connery..what's that movie again?
Anyhow, Jewel Thief is a multiline game from our beloved Microgaming, it holds 3 reels and 3 coins are the maximum wager allowed. Wild logos as expected are the key to the biggest jackpots. In here, we have 3 various ways for winning, all based on the payline in activation.
It is mandatory to bet the maximum coins, that is...if you are the type of jackpot hunter who would not settle for anything less than the biggest Plums. A trio of Jewel Thief symbols would award 1,500 coins (line one) and for line two, if three signs come out, the gambler would get three thousand.
Talking of the wild logo, all other mixes would be awarded with the same sum, regardless of where the line is. There is a secondary reward, which is five hundred coins for 3 Thief logos. Then there comes three hundred for a set of coin symbols.
Other wins are composed of bar signs. One would be rewarded via a matched combination, range goes from five to one hundred.

I remember when I was just a tiny, little kid...I was seeing goblins in every nook of our house, as soon as the dark came in, just mentioning it I guess. ("When was that?"- sixteenth century, I was already around.)
Anyway, the goblins in this game is nothing to be afraid of, in fact...they may make you extremely rich if you become their friends (read: if Luck becomes overly generous to you). It is a 3-payline unit, the logos are lanterns, bars, gold and the wild goblin of course. When one gets fortunate and the 3 goblins arrive in front of you, you might find yourself hugging them (in your imagination) even if they look like the ugliest sons of bi#%$*&s you have ever seen in your life. Here is why: if that happens, you would be clinching six thousand coins at the top plum. If you have played Trick or treat...you would find great similarities. Exception: in this game, they add a wild sign, resulting to enhanced winning percentages.
Coin sizes range from .25 to five dollars, now...that's it. Remember, don't get frightened off by those goblins, concentrate on the GOLD, not the goblins ok?

From a New Jersey casino, 2 persons won a combined 2.3M$ from the jackpots of the said casino's Wheel of Fortune units. Last June 2, a winner from Reading wagered 5 coins at a .05$ unit, then went on to clinch 5 of the symbols. This translated to a sum of $1,092,868.03...there...down to the last cent. Two weeks after, another person (from Greensboro,NC) put in 2 coins at a five dollar game. This person got 3 symbols, $1,203,061.52 was the equivalent.
According to the VP (Marketing) of the said casino, June was their month for the Wheel of Fortune aficionados.
In case you are not a slots buff, let me just orient you a bit on this kind of slots. It comes in different formats, it has a standard three-reel composition. These machines have a free spin sign that would provide the gambler with a bonus reward (ranging from 25 coins all the way to one thousand) if they hit. Bonus' amount one would get is based on the "wheel of fortune" found above the machine, this would spin if a specific button is pushed. The unit has sound effects which are akin to spectators yelling...this of course adds to the fun.

Regarding the climb of the progressive meter: the pace on a meter's upward movement is determined by a fixed percentage of the sum total of all monies "in circulation" within a particular unit. Naturally, the meter rates would differ from machine to the next, and from one casino to another. Let us say you are engaged on a progressive, you'd have to anticipate an advance profile of 5 to 10% of the monies being cycled. If we talk of the video poker units, the meters move (average) from .25 to 2%. The average nowadays goes to 1%.
Regarding video poker's initial 5 cards: the question here is- upon being given the initial 5 cards on a the video poker unit, what about the draw cards? Are they already there behind those cards to be "thrown" or would they come from the deck's top? The answer: it all depends on the firm which made the slots unit concerned or the machine's age. Once upon a time, most video machines were under paralled dealing procedures. Nowadays, this new generation of machines use serial dealing- (replacements come from the deck's top, akin to a ring game at a casino). Since cards are shuffled/shown in random fashion, neither has bearing on the result.

First question: How safe and secure are the casinos in the Net? Naturally, it all depends on the kind of casino we are speaking of here. Just like all the other Net industries, privacy and security matters have to be constantly taken into account. It is of course logical to give out any personal and sensitive information only to those online rooms that you consider as trustworthy. Even if the site in front of you is highly reputable, check and read reviews coming from objective third parties. Most particularly, look for accounts/reports indicating that the site has unscrupulous practices (most particularly when it comes to the payouts.)
Second question: Are they really fair? All casinos are mandated by a regulating body to be just and clean as far as (gambler's winnings) are concerned. For those sites which refuse to answer queries on this, let them be. Meaning: leave them and go to other rooms/sites.
Now, to close this piece, let me just give one tip for you guys. As a general rule, play the maximum number of coins. Many online slot units offer the most enticing odds when all the paylines are in action. A lot of units (particularly the progressives) would not let go of the top jackpot if the maximum number is not met. Avoid lowering the percentages by engaging in less than the highest number of coins. Of course, be ready to transfer to a less-costly unit if the maximum bet on that particular machine is too rich for your blood.

You always hear about "classic", "straight" or "progressive" in reference to the slots, but do you know the differences? I'll let you tackle the "classic" on your own, let me help you with the Straight and the ever-popular progressives.
The Straight slots would pay based on a preset schedule advertised by the management, almost all the time, you could read this on the machine itself. Actually, there is a very thin demarcation line separating this type and the progressive kind. In progressive playing, the essence is the chance of clinching big money while at the same time shelling out money that is affordable to the average gambler's financial capabilities.
The progressive slots operate this way: they get a fraction of every coin engaged in, this would be augmented to the jackpot, if and when nobody gets lucky, the amount goes and grows. Sometimes the amount would reach a salivating-level, and whoever wins it could afford to just sit back and go fishing for the rest of his/her life.

It was in 1895 that the very first mechanical unit of the slots came into being, "Liberty Bell" it was called. This contained 3 spinning reels, they had a Liberty Bell shown on each of them. Before this great invention, slot machines as a term referred to the different kinds of vending units. The slots inventor (a car mechanic, believe it or not) came to the realization that due to the resulting popularity, he needed to have assistance. He paired with a manufacturer whose task was the supply of these slots to the gambling establishments all over the globe.
Circa 1940, it was in a Vegas casino that the first mass-based use of the slots materialized. The casino's owner initially thought that these machines would be ideal for the high rollers' wives who were bored beyond words. He never realized that in the distant future, the enticement would reach further than these bored spouses. Nowadays, some expert studies claim that the slots make up more than 66% of all earnings by casinos in the USA.
The slots surely have a grand historical "evolution". Starting from the humble version of the 1800's all the way to the multi-million enterprise of modern times, nobody needs to hire a top-notch psychic to tell him/her that the slots' allure would continue to soar.
Friday, October 28. 2005

Starting early 80's, the popularity of the slots started to shoot up. Due to the nationwide "casino explosion" for the past fifteen years plus, the pool of the dedicated table players have been stretched too thin and as a consequence, the increase of gamblers going to the slot machines is becoming more and more and more pronounced.
According to the general manager of one casino, the customer will always be the final arbiter on what kind of game would sell and which would decline. He said that in the final analysis when they have added up the revenues, it is no big deal whether the money came from the slots or the poker tables. He further said that they (casino top execs) have to remember that their business is one of entertainment. What the playing public wants, is what should be provided.
(Very well said.)
