"Ace on the River: An Advanced Guide", authored by Barry Greenstein is actually many things rolled into one. It's a tour guide, it is a survival kit and a guide of course. This book is divided into 3 main parts, for the 1st section, the author gives an introduction to the

sphere of poker via his tales. The poker life of the author is given without bragging, or too much drama, unlike other poker authors who should be better off writing for soaps than poker books.
He is humble in
his writing, he even includes his loss of 1M dollars (plus) to the great Ted Forrest.
For the second part, it goes into the philosophy, elaborating on the psychological matters of the game, if one is to become a true pro. There is also a segment on sexuality vis-a-vis poker, and this is one interesting part. I won't go into it here, it would be best if you read it on your own.
For the last part, the author brings the reader to the advanced techniques, meaning, chaos theory and math. There is also
a segment elucidating on hand examples, which would prove to be a boon to intermediate players hoping to get elevated to the ranks of the elite.
